In a few days it will be Mona’s birthday. She would have been 35. She would have had kids. We would have Mona’s future. Instead I grieve her absence painfully.

All I have been asking is for an open, honest and thorough review in court to take place so that vital lessons could be learnt from Mona Daniella’s death.
I have a personal moral duty and obligation to act on the harmful SMS, email exchanges between the doctors and Mona Daniella; their negligence and malpractice and to make them public.

I want to help prevent what happened to Mona Daniella from happening to other young people, to give them the best chances of survival, to be able to continue to live their lives, to contribute to society, to love and be loved, as Mona Daniella very much was. To prevent other parents from going through what we have been going through.

For the doctors who provided Mona a harmful treatment to try to silence me with a defamation lawsuit is nothing short of bullying.
If they believe they did nothing wrong, they should have nothing to fear and should not try to silence people. Carlene MacMillan alleged in court papers having PTSD from “my” posts (posts from their own texts) but yet she has no PTSD from alleged domestic violence from her husband Owen Scott Muir?

I have PTSD from not only losing my only daughter, but worse even, losing her to suicide. Mona was constantly threatened up until the last phone calls of her life by Owen Scott Muir, and MacMillan did nothing to stop him. I have anxiety too. I might as well let the courts know.

Not only they harmed my daughter but now play the victim, by turning things around, and by lying. Shame on them. Other people have defamed them (I have not), yet they did not sue them. Why not?

They fleeced us when treating Mona. They were sued by many entities for non payment of debts. Now they are trying to get money from Mona even after her death through her parents.
What kind of people would do this?
Where is justice?

Screenshots of FIVE (5) additional comments that were sent from the same IP address 66.108.28.27, under different names (so far the total of comments from that IP address is TEN (10). All emails are fake, they all bounced.
Names: L ([email protected]), oh ([email protected]), oh ([email protected]), L ([email protected]), L ([email protected])

The first comment - about bipolar and hypersexuality - it was sent to us one day after Mona's birthday.
What was the point of sending us this bizarre and weird comment especially since Mona did not have Bipolar.?

An anonymous person sent this allegation about the comment: "it looks like OM believes it is an excuse for rape. He has used his mental illness in this way for a long time (like the commenter said about threatening NYU with a lawsuit rather than complete his emergency room training.)"

This comment shows this sender has no idea about the excruciating pain I live with on a daily basis. I am not angry. I am broken. Mona was my heart beating outside my body and now she is never again. I helped Mona. My husband and I, in addition to other family members helped as much as we could, we did everything Mona asked us to do. My conscience is clean on that. The guilt I live with is for not having checked thoroughly those two doctors. Had we known they have mental illnesses themselves, we would have never hired them to treat our beloved daughter who had gone through so much already due to misdiagnosis. The SMS texts exchanges between Mona and both husband and wife clearly show that both doctors wrote highly inappropriate texts about their personal lives, triggered Mona, and terrified her on a regular basis.

The comments that came from the same IP address 66.108.28.27 clearly show this person to be intimate with Dr. Owen Scott Muir: this person knew about the judge's decision and sent it to us in a comment instantly, before our own attorney had a chance to let us know; this person sent us an explanation about bipolar hypersexuality for reasons only they would know a day after Mona's birthday; this person claims to know, to remember Mona while she was alive; this person wrote they "loved Mona".
As an aside Dr. Owen Scott Muir wrote us in an email that:"Loving Mona was often like washing the dead..."

This comment is in reply to the reply comment from the rape allegation from a woman who studied in Amherst at the same time as Dr. Owen Scott Muir, and alleges he raped her. This person tries to deflect the attention from all allegations by constantly attacking me, a grieving mother, whose daughter is never again.

More comments below in reaction to posts on the Blog from the same IP address 66.108.28.27, with different names, and fake emails that bounced. This person wrote at least 10 comments hiding behind fake names, fake emails, made horrible, and cruel attacks. This person seems to be obsessed with comments about the Negligence and Malpractice lawsuit against Dr. Owen Scott Muir in particular, and shows they have intimate knowledge of Dr. Owen Scott Muir (addressing him as "Owen" in comments).. It seems like this person might have been stalking this Blog, since they kept sending a new comment to new posts. From the same IP address: 66.108.28.27.

There are more comments that came from different IP addresses, the writing style is similar to these, like these 10 comments, the different IP addresses also have multiple comments with fake names, fake emails. I will post them another time.

We continue to receive texts and emails from alleged former patients , and alleged former employees of Dr Carlene MacMillan and Dr Owen Scott Muir (his 3rd name change in around a year).

This month is particularly hard because on January 11 it was Mona Daniella's birthday, she would have been 33 had she been alive.

The allegations are SHOCKING..
Dr Owen Scott Muir allegedly had sex with patients, and allegedly sent them pictures of people he tied up while having BDSM sex. Further he allegedly told a patient he met his wife at a BDSM party.
All the while allegedly his wife Dr Carlene MacMillan knows of her husband allegedly having sex with patients. Former employees allege she has 3 boyfriends. One former patient confirms this allegation. How would a patient know so much about the private lives of their therapists if they had not told them? We know they wrote plenty about their private lives (to the shopping tastes, swimming lessons for their twins, cars they like etc) to our late daughter. It would not shock us but it would surprise us if they allegedly continue the same pattern of behavior. That might show how callous they might allegedly be, and how they might allegedly believe they might be above rules and laws.

We live in America. This is a free country. We have no prejudice.
This couple (MacMillan and Muir) are free to do whatever they want with their lives. They want an open marriage?
It is their right.
It is not their right to harm patients. They harmed our daughter in every possible way..
It becomes a huge problem when they demolish boundaries like they did with our daughter, and like they allegedly did with other patients.

It is a HIPAA LAWS VIOLATION to speak about patients to other people.
Allegedly Dr Owen Scott Muir told patients about the patients who completed suicides. I go to a therapist. My therapist has never mentioned a word about any of her patients. We have met with a great number of therapists, forensic psychiatrists. None of them ever mentioned a single thing about their patients.

As to the alleged number of suicides - we have received texts that show allegedly Muir talking of 10 or more suicides in a period of around 2 years.
Many therapists have told us this is excessive.

This makes us think they might allegedly be DOCTORS OF DEATH, not therapists one might go to heal. One patient wrote they almost took their own life.

BOMBSHELL ALLEGATIONS FROM OTHER PARENTS ABOUT BROOKLYN MINDS, Dr Owen Muir | Dr. Scott muir and other therapists

We have received the following email with bombshell allegations from parents whose daughter has been in treatment with Dr Owen Muir and other therapists from Brooklyn. Minds.

"Hi Mrs. Haddad,
Thank you for responding. We understand your caution in learning more about me. Our hearts truly break for you. We are so sorry about your daughter. I am a licensed psychotherapist and have been in practice now for almost 30 years.
Our daughter, 26, is a patient of Owen's. We are so disturbed by his treatment of our daughter. I am a psychotherapist in the West coast. They have always seemed off to me. When our daughter was actively suicidal and instead of calling for a welfare check or 911, or the authorities, her psychotherapist went to her apartment, retrieved her and then brought her back to the clinic for 9 hours worth of TMS. And the next day full of 9 hours of TMS treatments. And then she was sent home.

As a clinician, if I had an actively suicidal client I would never go to their home. I found this very bizarre. I have had my doubts about Owen for years. He has seen her for roughly 5 years and has seen the psychotherapist for a couple years now. Our daughter finally signed a release so we can talk with her clinicians.

Apparently one of her clinicians lost a patient to suicide a few months ago. When we spoke on the phone with her clinician, we assumed it would be a professional conversation. The person was either drunk or on something. The clinician kept saying how much they loved our daughter and they didn't want her to die.

Our daughter is safe with us. But we have seen her talk about Owen and how he really gets mad at her most of the time. That's not normal. He clearly has anger management issues. And her clinician was so weird and out of it, saying our daughter was going to die. And they kept me on the phone for nearly 2 hours. At one point they said something that chilled us to the bone. We told the clinician that we would take care of our daughter going forward, and then her clinician said:

"oh sweetie, you don't understand, she's mine."

???
I have never heard such an inappropriate comment coming from a therapist. Neither have any of my colleagues.
This excessive self disclosure is NOT OKAY. And as a clinician I am appalled by their behavior. We found you because we found out they were being sued. We are so sorry about your daughter. That's awful. We plan to report both of them to their respective boards but we need to first get our daughter away from them for good.

They are like a cult.

They have her doing so much therapy and TMS. When she was visited and she had a therapy appointment, she became concerned that she was going to be in big big trouble with Owen. We told her she could cancel the appointments. Her therapist was urging her to come back to NY to talk to her. We told our daughter to tell her clinician that she is with her parents. And that we will be taking care of her. She did not respond well and did so in a passive aggressive way. But we are very worried about our daughter and we don’t sleep at night.

Her therapist proceeded to tell her she had to come back to NY because as a clinician they were the only one that could help her. At that point we told our daughter that she did not have to leave and her therapist was being inappropriate. We spoke to her therapist. We wrote down everything they were saying and have some disturbing quotes. After we got off the phone with the therapist I called another clinician who is my colleague. This colleague and other clinician friends have told me that I need to report them to the board. My spouse heard part of the conversation and urged me to hang up because the therapist sounded out of their mind.

We spoke with Owen finally, when he took our call. He listened but seemed rather defensive. We are afraid he will talk our daughter into coming back. We want her as far away from them as she can be. She has asked me not to report either her therapist or Owen to their respective boards but I can’t do that, and as a clinician and not just a parent, I feel obligated ethically to do so. Our daughter is moving here to live with us and we are hoping that we can get her away from them and we can help her introduced to proper professionals here. We are so concerned about her being talked into returning to them.

Owen said to us that the therapist "wasn't like that" and that the death of a client by suicide recently had disregulated the clinician. That is not an excuse for that kind of behavior. I suggested they may not be in the best place to practice and needs a break. He then told me that they "moved hell and earth" and spent hours on the phone with our daughter’s insurance to get her covered but unfortunately were unable to get her covered.
I don't see how that was relevant, and it felt very defensive and inappropriate. We tried to speak to Dr. Carlene MacMillan who wanted nothing to do with us.

Our daughter has always expressed feeling beholden to them because of his hard work to get her sessions covered.
I deal with insurance and it is a pain but I would never tell my clients how hard it was to get coverage. It is simply inappropriate. They seem like a cult to me. Our daughter has been going to therapy some weeks 4 to 5 times a week. Sometimes more. Anyone who needs to be seen so many times a week should be in a psych unit for a brief period. And under 24/7 supervision. The day our daughter was suicidal she had 9 hours of TMS and the next day another 9 hours of TMS. We don't understand what they are doing.
18 hours of TMS in barely over 24 hours and she is still suicidal. Clearly either their knowledge of TMS is poor, or they might not be giving the appropriate magnetic pulses needed for a patient to improve. Like a taximeter, they keep charging patients for endless TMS sessions. That is not how TMS is supposed to work.

We feel that they have been taking advantage of our daughter and her vulnerabilities We don't like hearing the things they have said to us and to her. At this point we are not sure that our daughter understands that this is not normal but we are doing our best to explain. We are very concerned with her therapist telling our daughter regularly how much they love her. We told Owen that and he doesn't seem to understand that is so unprofessional and violates boundaries in a major way. The therapist said some awful things on the phone to me last time we spoke.

Our daughter told us that they knew they were being investigated and sued and that's how we found you. We googled the practice and found the article in the NY Post and then found your blog. When you posted about the things Owen said to your daughter it reminded us of how he has interacted with our daughter. And the email he wrote after the death of your daughter was completely bizarre.

There is something wrong with him.

I read my colleagues some of the things you have posted on the blog and they agree it's horrifying. They are also concerned about our daughter going back to them because our daughter feels she “owes” them. She doesn't owe them a damn thing. We pay plenty. It is going to take a while to undo the damage they've done. They have done too much damage already."

This is not the first time parents have contacted us, with this type of allegations, nor the first time they have written the allegation that "something is wrong with Dr. Owen Muir."
These latest allegations are quite disturbing, and concerning.
We will keep fighting because we want to prevent other parents from going through what we are going through - and above all to prevent them from harming other young adults.
They are evil. Their texts and emails to our daughter show that clearly, and in due time they will be introduced in court. Their texts and emails to us are also evil, many people we have shown to - professionals - have said so.

On November 24, 2021, I received AGAIN a disturbing and creepy phone call from a Florida number. A woman asked to speak with Dr. Owen Muir. When I asked "who gave you this number??", the woman said "Dr. Owen Muir";" my husband was about to record when she hung up. We called our lawyer, who has instructed us what to do. More on that in the near future.

When I called back that number (screenshot below) barely a few minutes later (I was going to ask her to remove my number). there was a recording: "you have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service."

I am still surprised but not shocked. It is tasteless and sick regardless of who gave my number to that person to make that call. Just before the holidays of all days?

In Mona Daniella's texts Drs. Carlene MacMillan and Owen Muir show they communicated with Mona Daniella z"l using multiple phone numbers, allegedly they are experts at getting new phone numbers and deleting them.

Why on earth would any doctor do that? Last I heard decent and honest doctors keep the same number.

That is really a sick obsession to make such disturbing calls that they - whoever called - knew would startle me - knowing in full how I am still grieving. People like that deserve to burn in hell. Psychopaths..

What a nerve Drs Carlene MacMillan and Owen Muir have to send an attorney's letter to our attorney whining, complaining of being "defamed".

SERIOUSLY?

Had they bothered to read their own texts they would be able to read every time they trash us - Mona's parents, brother, grandparents; and they would see that's real defamation. To make it worse they practically emptied our bank account to trash, defame us and to torture and terrorise Mona Daniella z"l. To top it they would not provide us any invoices for months - and emailed flimsy excuses why they could not send invoices for months.

JUSTICE WILL CATCH UP WITH DRS CARLENE MACMILLAN AND OWEN MUIR of Brooklyn Minds Psychiatry (bklynminds). They can hide but cannot escape.

As an aside Mona was really concerned about Owen "emulating his father" to the point that she texted Dr Carlene MacMillan her concern - screenshot attached - which was right after yet another episode where Muir had "LOST IT" AGAIN. MacMillan acknowledged her husband's anger: "I can tell he is angry. More so than usual." Despite that and many other instances where Muir "LOST IT", MacMillan still forced Mona to continue to see her "ANGRY" husband.

The problem is Muir wasn't simply "angry". He has BiPolar and he would terrorise Mona to the point where she would havee to run to hide from him in the bathroom. This was a Harmful Treatment - Derelict of Duty.

Mona had texted to Dr Carlene MacMillan - "I feel really sorry for you and your kids, the day he [Muir] gets pissed enough to emulate his father." (They have twins who are almost 6 years old.) Owen Muir's father would beat him up with a belt. Mona was referring to Owen emulating his father in that sense.

Mona Daniella z”l - on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 it will be the 5th anniversary of Mona never again. We are so broken we don’t know how to fix ourselves.

It doesn’t help that those lying Carlene MacMillan and Owen Muir of Brooklyn Minds Psychiatry @bklynminds - terrorized her for an entire year, dismissed her requests not to be seen by Muir who has admitted he has BiPolar and would lose it. Malpractice by excellence - talking of their affairs, weird friends on drugs, triggering Mona only to try to calm her after, trashing my father who died when I was 12 - whom they never met, and of whom Mona had only heard nice things allure life. Muir apparently had a monster as a father (suggested by his wife MacMillan and by Muir himself).

In all probability he might want to perhaps believe everyone else's father might have been like his own father.. Muir was so disturbed when he started to treat Mona he was almost hospitalized in a psychiatric unit. Muir should have never seen Mona knowing he was not well by his own admission. .

To make things worse, both MacMillan and Muir lied about not having spoken to Mona the day before when asked only to contradict themselves a month later.
In the meantime we have the phone bills which prove Mona’s last 4 phone conversations were with those lying people.

We have always wondered: what did they allegedly tell Mona that soon after their last phone call it allegedly pushed Mona to hang herself? Whatever they told Mona allegedly pushed her over the edge. And we didn’t even know at the time of the rape allegations made to the 911 phone call by Mona screaming on the phone:
"HE RAPED ME!! YOU RAPED ME!! HE RAPED ME!!"
By "HE RAPED ME" - Mona was crystal clear she was referring to Dr Owen Muir.

All of Mona's family, friends, everyone who knew her, know very well Mona would not make up such a serious accusation. She was brutally honest as per one friend's definition. The proof is she had never done it before. By MacMillan's and Muir's own admission Mona did not know how to lie and did not lie.

We believe they might have controlled Mona to allegedly protect their “esteemed colleagues” as they referred to people who had hurt Mona.

I ask MacMillan and Muir -

WAS IT WORTH IT ???

WAS HER SUICIDE WORTH IT ???

Was it worth it to torture, terrorise my baby for a year for your allegedly sick reasons?
Was it worth it to turn Mona away from her family when she texted you she needed a mother?
How professional and ethical was all the manipulation and sht you did?
Carlene MacMillan and Owen Muir - per forensics - demolished any and all boundaries proven by their own texts. All the while charging us thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars with no explanation, without giving invoices for month.
They don't deserve the title of doctor.

MacMillan and Muir - Was Mona's suicide worth it to allegedly advance your careers?

For us it is as if you yourselves allegedly murdered her - why else would you keep repeating while crying "WE BLAME OURSELVES!!!"* on the speakerphone of the Monday morning phone call overheard by several people? Every attorney we have spoken to has told us they had never heard doctors say that before.

We want justice and we will wait until the day we get justice . MacMillan and Muir we know you read these posts - there is a ton of sh*t against you in your own texts - texts you sent to Mona from several different phone numbers - which is a weird fact in itself. All forensic psychiatrists were puzzled by that fact. These texts - thousands of pages - will come out in court. May G’d make justice.

On June 14, 2021, I received a disturbing and creepy phone call from a Florida number. A woman asked to speak with Dr. Owen Muir. When I asked "who is calling?", the woman said "this is from "Current Psychiatry";" she further alleged that Dr. Owen Muir gave her my personal cel number for his subscription, and she was calling to confirm he is still practicing. I told her "this is not Dr. Owen Muir's number". She asked if I "knew him, and if I could give her his number". I replied "I am sorry, I cannot".

When I called back that number (screenshot below) barely a few minutes later (I was going to ask her to remove my number). there was a recording: "you have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service."

I am surprised but not shocked. It is tasteless and sick regardless of who gave my number to that person to make that call. Was it to provoke? Stranger than strange...

As an aside both Drs. Carlene MacMillan and Owen Muir communicated with Mona Daniella z"l using multiple phone numbers, some of which belong to other family members, and other numbers that have been disconnected. Also Stranger than strange...according to forensics...

UPDATE: Upon checking my phone I saw this same number had been trying to reach me for days. Now that is really a sick obsession to make such disturbing calls that they - whoever called - knew would startle me - knowing in full how I am still grieving. Dr. Owen Muir keeps changing his title every few months, we have never seen anything like this. Around 5 months ago he was the Chief Service Officer, now he is the Chief Innovation Officer. Before that some other Chief Medical Officer and C0-Founder. Interesting enough, since the lawsuit started he is no longer listed as co-founder in the "Our Team" page, but when you go to the "learn more" page he is listed as Co-Founder. Actually, as far as we were told he was THE founder.
In LinkedIn he lies shamelessly: Chief Innovation Officer for 4 years and 1 month. He definitely wasn't in his web site which is updated constantly. What other lies is Dr. Owen Muir presumably telling?.

Dr. Muir alleges to have the following Trainings and Certifications:

MBT: Supervisor Level
Ambit: Trainer
Completed additional training in MBT-A, MBT-F, MBT-C
GPM: Trainer

Since the whistleblower alleged that Dr. Owen Muir did not complete his training in the Emergency Room as all other residents did - allegedly he threatened to sue NYU alleging his disability, we can't help but wonder - is Dr. Owen Muir really trained and certified completely in all the fields he alleges to be trained in?

Email from Dr. Owen Muir dated October 3, 2016. He alleges to be Clinical Instructor, NYU School of Medicine Assistant Professor of Medicine, Hofstra-Northwell School of Medicine. However, nowhere does that come up in his web site or in the LinkedIn Experience. Which makes us wonder - might have Dr. Muir presumably been lying to us about what he might not have been?

Conflict of Interest - Dr. Carlene MacMillan, Dr. Owen Muir | Dr. Scott muir - anything they wrote about Mona Daniella is self serving.

In all probability Dr. Carlene MacMillan and/or Dr. Owen Muir | Dr. Scott Muir are the ones who sent us the following comment:

"Mona would not have wanted you to do this. Mona cared deeply about Dr Muir and Dr. MacMillan. She would be heartbroken to see what you are trying to do. In your heart of hearts, you know that."

The screenshot below of a text exchange between Dr. Carlene MacMillan and Mona Daniella doesn't show Mona caring deeply. If anything it shows how frightened she was. In fact it shows only, and only the opposite.

The comment above shows how desperate, delusional both Dr. Carlene MacMillan and/or Dr. Owen Muir might be, and their sense of reality seems to be disturbingly twisted - since SMS exchanges with Mona Daniella show the opposite. Their lies are self serving, they are attempting to cover up what they did. Covering up their incompetence, their lack of ethics - Dr. Carlene MacMillan should have stepped in - she had many reasons to: her obligation to care for her patient, this the obligation to denounce Dr. Owen Muir but did not. Classic case of conflict of interest.

In all probability Dr. Owen Muir | Dr. Scott Muir might be the same person who sent 8 follow up comments to this blog using different names from the same IP address. The writing style is eerily similar to Muir's emails. The comments have very specific information that only Dr. Carlene MacMillan, and Dr. Owen Muir | Dr. Scott Muir know.

Those sadistic comments are very malicious, mean spirited, and cruel. They seem designed to upset, hurt, and inflict us more pain, as we are still so broken from mourning the loss of our precious daughter. In addition to make us feel like we're in the wrong - when in reality Dr. Carlene MacMillan, and Dr. Owen Muir are the ones who have neglected Mona Daniella, manipulated, controlled, and harmed her, in a way that was nothing less than a crystal clear malpractice way - as the SMS exchanges between Mona Daniella, Dr. Carlene MacMillan, and Dr. Owen Muir unequivocally show. They ruined her life.

Should this be the case Muir writing "I loved her" is creepy, frightening, besides being completely inappropriate - yet another proof Muir was not qualified to treat Mona Daniella as the whistleblower's comment indicates. This would not be the first time Dr. Owen Muir has written something creepy.

Keep them away from your children if you really love them.

3 Years since Mona Daniella is Never Again

3 years and the pain is worse. Finding out we paid for malpractice and negligence only makes it harder. Look at Mona Daniella's tomb. Her tomb far away from the other tombs (because of suicide). No parent should have to bury their child. Especially not because of the malpractice and negligence of their child's doctors. Mona Daniella had dreams. She did not have the chance to see them come true.

A friend sent us the above link to Dr. Owen Muir's Remarks On Suicide Awareness Month and Borderline Personality Disorder, on 9/27/2016.
Although he did not mention our daughter by name he never told us about this speech, where he said: "I had a patient complete suicide 2 days ago." Mona took her own life on 9/26/2016 - 1 day before not 2.
That said, Dr. Owen Muir was the last person with whom Mona Daniella spoke to on 9/25/2016. Why would Dr. Owen Muir say his patient completed suicide 2 days ago when the day before he had been to her funeral?
Mona Daniella was buried the same day, on 9/26/2016 in accordance with Jewish Laws.

Mona Daniella's NEGATIVE YELP review of Dr. Owen Muir - please note the 1st one is dated 9/18/2016, and the updated review is dated: 9/20/2016.
They are self explanatory.

On 9/26/2016 Mona took her own life. Less than a week after her review.

For reasons unknown to us, although Mona's reviews do not seem to violate Yelp's guidelines, they are in the YELP's section of reviews that are not currently recommended.
